In Parliament Today – Summary for 21 November 2025

The Fourth Sitting of the Third Meeting of the 2025-2026 Session of Parliament commenced at 2:00 pm today, 21 November.
The following reports were tabled;
- Report of the Standing Finance Committee on the Appropriation (Financial Years 2026 and 2027) Bill, 2025,
- Report of the Standing Business Committee – First Meeting of the 2025-2026 Session of the Cayman Islands Parliament, and
- Report of the Standing Business Committee – Second Meeting of the 2025-2026 Session of the Cayman Islands Parliament.
The Appropriation (Financial Years 2026 and 2027) Bill, 2025 was given a third reading and passed following a division of the vote. The bill, which outlines government spending for the next two fiscal years, received eleven votes in favour, with four Opposition members abstaining. Four members of parliament were absent during the sitting.
The Fourth Meeting of the 2025-2026 Session of Parliament will commence on Wednesday, 10 December 2:00 pm.
